Action Interview

Chukwuka Ezewuzie, a hardworking lawyer originally from Nigeria just like myself. He came to this country with a full scholarship to Boston University    Although he may be blind, he is very intelligent and an expert on discussing about the many different political views which made him impeccable for this interview. His political identity is by far influenced or shaped by his religious beliefs because he grew up his whole life as a christian and has always been  in support of politicians who base their agendas     or campaigns on the christian beliefs. He also believes that politicians who do so are the right ones for this country because this country was brought up and established on the christian beliefs.

What do you consider yourself to be: liberal, conservative or independent?  " If you put it just as a liberal and conservative I am a conservative but if you put it party wise I am an Independent." -Chuks Ezewuzie
He  supports the conservative agenda but considers himself an independent . He believes in the support of conservatism because   it is against the approval of gay marriage. He believes that gays are amazing people and he loves them, he just thinks that marriage is normally supposed to be between a woman and a man based on biblical morals.
Obama's campaign during the past four years  has made abortion legal in the country of the United States. Chuks Ezewuzie believes this is very wrong for the country because it was built on christian beliefs and biblical morals as he mentioned before and the act of abortion goes completely against what the bible teaches.
The last and final issue he had was the debt issue that our country is in right now. He believes if the country continues to spend the way it does the country will lead to bankruptcy because this country is $16trillion in debt and their will be no money for the future generations.
He believes that the country will be better off not spending the way it is and the conservative agenda  is what will tackle these issues perfectly. He hopes that  Mitt Romney will be able to help tackle these issues for  a better future for the United States younger generations.

A couple of experiences that have influenced my political identity are just as similar to those of Mr. Ezewuzie's. I've grown up in a home built on christian values which does not make support most of the liberal views. I also don't agree with all views from the Conservative side which makes me an independent just like my interviewee. In leadership, I look foward to an individual who can bring America back to its natural and very first christian beliefs but at the same time is fair to all citizens.

I learnt that there are a lot of problems in the country that need to be handled with care and it is very critical that the right leader is voted for in order for the success of this country. People vote for liberals and conservatives because they believe in or support either sides agenda either because they think its right for the country or equally ties in with what they believe in. This experience has confirmed my views because my uncle said mentioned a lot of aspects that were unclear to me and made them clear which resolved in my confirmation.

questions i asked:
1. How did you vote in the last election. why?
2.Do you consider yourself a liberal, conservative, or independent?
3. What life experiences have shaped your political identity?
4. What key issues are important to you when it comes to US policy?
5. Who will you likely vote for in the future. Are happy with your party?
6. Who do you believe in these elections?
7. What would you do if you were running in office to tackle these main issues mentioned?
8. What would you say to people who disagreed with you?
9. Name one good and bad aspect of Obamacare?
10.Why do you think Romney is the right man for America?

  1. Nnamdi,

Good post. I like the pictures you've selected. Try to keep your text consistent if you can. I know that formatting is sticky sometimes, but try to keep the text to look all the same. In the questions section at the bottom, I can't even read the last 5, because they are so dark.

Overall, I thought that this was solid blog. Interesting to learn that your interviewee is conservative. I have many Nigerian friends that probably hold the same views.

I was not completely clear on your political identity. I see you label yourself as independent, and you outline the issues that you side with conservatives on. But what liberal ideals to you support?

    Overall, good work.
